A Shetland sheepdog is a long-haired canine. This small to medium sized dog is rough-coated but loved by many because it is smart, energetic and most of all, playful. Apart from that, it is also a working dog, hence very useful for both work and play. That is why it deserves the best dog bed […]
Dog bed reviews by breeds
Dog bed reviews are everywhere but specific ones that tailor to each dog breed is hard to find. I know because I had a hard time finding a target dog bed review when I was shopping for one. Hence, the idea was born to be the first to try and access what kind of dog bed will suit a particular breed of dog, based on that breed's characteristic. However, I am not the all knowing Dog God so I only limit my reviews to breeds that I have experienced before and know quite intimately.
Researching on the best dog bed for breeds such as Collie requires a lot of my time. Since this is not a for profit blog, it means the number of reviews will be growing slowly. Nevertheless, I will make sure it grows.
How I do the reviews
The process is pretty straight forward. I will narrow down some specific characteristic of a dog breed and see which dog brand is best suited. If my knowledge of a particular breed is limited, I will make sure I read up on it or ask my fellow dog owners. I have many friends who own a dog, just so you know :)
Nevertheless, despite my best intentions, all dogs are not the same even if they are from the same breed. As such, there will be cases of your experience differs from mine. This is ok. In fact, I welcome to add your experience into the reviews through the comment system here. However no spam please! I don't sell designer brands, rolex watches, drugs or porn so please don't include such terms in your comments as they will be deleted!
Dogs are naturally destructive. But Labrador Retrievers just go extreme when it comes to this matter. In fact, they are called as “mouthy dogs” since they literally chew anything they find, especially when they get bored. As they grow older, they get bigger too with matured teeth which give them the capacity to wreck your […]
In this age of innovation, I am seeing lots of cool dog products and accessories. You don’t see much of this stuff in the pet stores so I thought it will be useful to highlight some of the things I liked. Before I begin, do note that I am bias towards contemporary design so you […]
I have fallen in love with Huksy after writing the best harness for Husky article previously. I appreciate their breed’s characteristic and wants to write more product reviews that caters to their breed. In today’s case, it will be a dog bed review. Husky can actually sleep on hard surfaces like a wooden flooring but […]
I have been reviewing dog beds by their breeds to better find the ones that best suits a particular dog type. You can check out the dog bed reviews via the link. In the course of doing so, I realise I have spent a lot of hours going through each dog bed and am now […]
Labrador Retriever is a mid size dog that has one characteristic that makes it difficult to buy dog beds: they like to chew stuff!! In this third article of recommending dog beds by breeds (see past articles: dog bed for dachshunds and dog bed for collie), I am going to see which dog bed is best […]
The very first dog I like to own was a collie and that was because of the TV show, Lassie. A collie always look like an elegant and well behaved dog that it seems perfect as a domestic pet. As a collie owner, you should have an easier time looking for the right dog bed […]
In this series of dog bed reviews, I am looking at the characteristic of each dog breed and recommend the specific bed the dog owner should be looking out for. If you are wondering about where my knowledge came from, it was from a dog bed store owner whom I met during one of my […]
