In this age of innovation, I am seeing lots of cool dog products and accessories. You don’t see much of this stuff in the pet stores so I thought it will be useful to highlight some of the things I liked. Before I begin, do note that I am bias towards contemporary design so you will see lots of stylish and modern stuff being recommended.

Kooldog house

The Kooldog house is a beautiful modern dog crate with an elegant wood finishing and a clean sleek design. Besides looking good, the Kooldog house has some interesting features. For one, the whole crate can be easily cleaned using just damp cloth and detergent due to its patent pending powder coated metal.  In additional the suede covering within the crate is washable. All these made it super easy to maintain this stylish dog crate.

Zenhaus design dog crate

Another fancy dog crate that I like is this one from Zenhaus. I love its circular design that is different from the usual rectangular look and that makes it more stylish and contemporary than most of the crates in the market. The material forming the crate is polished fiberglass that is strong and yet incredibly light when being carried. At the top is a shatter proof glass that can let you see what the dog is doing inside the crate.  The circular openings make the crate breathable and cool.

By the way, each of these Zenhaus dog crate is hand made so they will not be cheap.

Elegant dog bed design

This design is created by Olga Guanabara and is meant to display a more masculine feel. It was created when Olga wanted something for his own dog and he put his design skills to the dog bed. This particular model is also eco friendly as the material uses reclaimed wood and steel.  Great for big dogs like Labradors.

Elegant dog crate desgin

One of the most elegant dog crate that I have ever seen. It is designed by Bloom Room and has no available retail price i.e. you need to call them to inquire. The design uses a mixture of wood, steel and solid foam with the latter making it comfortable for the dog to lie in.

Pet Superfine high end dog bed

Fancy a posh dog crate? Then look no further than Pet Superfine. They are an Italian furniture house that produces excellent but expensive furniture. In 2014, they create a range of high end dog beds that looks as stunning as any designer furniture. Below is just one piece from the collection, which only contains 200 units for each design. For the rich, this is something you might want to consider

James Sun cool dog grate

A contemporary dog crate designed by James Sun. What makes this design so eye catching is the sliding around the dog house. The curves and the black outline creates a 3D and modern feel that is missing from most of the dog crate designs. It might not serve any functional purpose but definitely has outstanding eye appeal. The internal space is big so you can lay a mattress inside for the puppy or dog if you desired.

Wired dog crate

Unlike most dog crates that have 4 walls, this particular design does away with the wall completely and replaces it with a modern wired frame look.  What I love is that the wire frame can be broken down into half for easy and flexible storage. It also has an detachable floor and a cover in case you want to give your dog some privacy.

Fancy dog crate

If you want something fanciful and out of the normal, here is another good reference to look at. The dog crate’s main draw is its irregular shape and interesting material.  The best thing is that this is a DIY project using only triangular boards with nails as support. If you are a DIY kind of person, you should try your hand at making your own cool dog or puppy crate.

Sleek and contemporary dog crate

For plant loving pet owners, this dog crate is a dream come true. It combines a dog house with a planting area at the top so you get the best of both worlds. The name of this beautiful dog crate is Kakon kennel and retails for $300. I understand the price is on the high end side but you pay for quality and this is what the Kakon kennel is all about. Raised modern dog pet

This is only for small dog and puppies. Created by HAT design studio, it is a stylish dog bed that has one unique feature: the bed is raised above the ground. The design can be said to be minimalist but it works beautifully with the right height and space. A simple cushion will complete the set up and allow your puppy or small dog to rest it in.
