Shih Tzu hair styles can be as attractive as you can want them to be if you think out the box. I have seen so many Shih Tzu owners playing with different styles that it amuses me no end. You can either engage a dog groomer to create a style or you can do it yourself. If you chose the latter, you might want to take a look at my article reviewing the best dog clipper for Shih Tzu hair. In this article, we are looking to look at 7 unique pictures of shih tzu hair styles that will let you sit up and notice. Some are hilariously funny as well.
#1: Shih tzu with pigtails
For female Shih Tzu, the two pigtail style is absolutely adorable. The usual style is ponytail but pigtail makes them looks even more cute. It also makes identifying their gender much easier as well.
#2: Korean style Shih Tzu
If you are been paying attention to Korean haircuts for guys, you will notice the pull back style that many are adopting. Well, this particular Shih Tzu hairstyle looks exactly like those Korean pull back hairdo. Perfect for male Shih Tzus.
#3: Common Shih Tzu hairstyle
Tying the hair up in a single bun is one of the most common hairstyle you can find on Shih Tzu. It is simple to do but still makes the puppy look cute.
#4: Two ponytail Shih Tzu hairstyle
As mentioned in #1, the 2 ponytail is much more commonly seen. This is not to say it is not cute. Indeed, I suspect this is a much easier hairstyle to DIY, which explains why a lot of Shih Tzu owners can pull this look off for their beloved pet dog.
#5: Shih Tzu and Albert Einstein
This is how I image a Shih Tzu will look if Albert Einstein is its master. You can called this messy or electrify. Regardless of the name, it is a very unique cool on a Shih Tzu, one that I haven’t see in any real life situation.
#6: Too odd for words
You will only see this in a dog show. If I ever saw this in a normal life scenario, I will walk up to the owner and ask him or her: “what were you drinking when you are doing this hairstyle?” LOL
#7: Bearded look
Some Shih Tzu owners like to cut them short while other likes to keep them long. I am talking about the ‘beard’. Yes, if you allow it, Shih Tzu can actually grow something like a beard from its facial hair. That is how much hair a Shih Tzu can grow. If you liked a bearded book, you might prefer this particular hairstyle.
